An elephant needs to spend most of the day eating as they eat up to 250kg of leaves, grass, roots and bark every day.
The herds revolve around the female elephants and their calves.
2. Leopard
They are elusive and noctural so they are not the easiest to see. They take their kill up into trees to keep it away from other animals being able to steal it away from them.
3. Lion
Africa's largest and stongest carnivore and they live in prides. The male has a mane and a deafening roar.
4. Rhinoceros
The white rhino is a grazer whereas the black is a browser. They are very territorial and have poor eyesight. Their horns are composed of very compressed hair.
5. Buffalo
These large and powerful animals live in herds. They are mainly grazers and drink twice a day.
