Really it is no surprise that Cape Town is the best city to visit in the world. It has everything, the mountains, the sea, fantastic restaurants and food. Wine farms galore, amazing scenery and animals like penguins, baboons right there.

Cape Town came to be as it was the halfway point between Asia and Europe for ships.

It became a refreshment station by The Dutch East India Company in 1652

It has become a fantastic city to visit. It has table mountain to hike or go up via cable car.

Kirstnbosch National Botanical Gardens which is stunningly beautiful and has outdoor concerts in summer.

A trip to the Cape Peninsula where you can see baboons.

Boulders Beach at Simons Town to mix with the African penguins.

Wine farms galore, from Constantia to Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franshoek.

All in all Cape Town has it all - sun, sea, scenery and amazing food at a multitude of restaurants.

If you just have 2 days before you head elsewhere in South Africa it would still be worth spending those 2 days in Cape Town.
