There are so many wonderful restaurants in the Midlands Meander, from in hotels to cafes, to eat at along the many routes of the Midlands Meander that it is quite hard to choose.

An outing to Piggly Wiggly caters to everyone's needs, from the children to the grandparents—it's all in one space. The children could be entertained at Muddy Puddles (play cafe) while the parents relax.

La Lampara

La Lampara is a wonderful venue, especially for a special occasion. This Italian restaurant in the Caversham Valley changes its menu frequently.

It is probably best to phone and book first - 082 416 0195. Find them at Farm Boschfontein, Lidgetton.

Brahman Hills

Gardens at Brahman Hills

Apart from the wonderful gardens at Brahman Hills, the Skyfall Restaurant serves delicious casual dining meals overlooking their stunning gardens.

The Wine Cellar receives outstanding reviews of the venue and food.

Bierfassl Restaurant

This busy, vibrant Austrian-themed restaurant and pub The Bierfassl.

Situated at Nottingham Road, they serve hearty meals, including their famous eisbein, which is delicious.

Yellowwood Cafe

The Yellowwood Cafe at 1 Shafton Road, Howick is set in a lovely garden and overlooks Howick Falls. Phone: 073 235 7369.

The two gorgeous miniature donkeys and jungle gym will keep the kids entertained while you relax and enjoy a meal.

Yummy breakfast, lunch, or teatime treat. Stay inside with a fire on cold days or outside with a view when sunny and warm.
